There are two words in the word Bonsai. They are Bon and Sai. Bon means tray and Sai means growing up. Bonsai means growing up of trees in the tray. Bonsai is a Japanese word for Chinese word Penzai. Bonsai trees are nothing but trees with characteristics of big trees but grown in small pots. These trees do not grow quickly and vigorously. They grow in small sizes slowly.
After the Second World War, growing up of bonsai trees has spread to all the nations from Japan. Now bonsai trees are grown in many countries. Actually they take seeds which grow as a bigger tree and follow a number of techniques to restrict the trees from growing big and fast. They grow up the bonsai trees by cutting down the some roots, branches and winding up of trunk and branches with aluminium and cobalt strings. Bonsai trees are grown in Indore of India also. But there are many differences between imported bonsai trees and Indian bonsai trees.
