This software is life for cell phones and computers. Few people create software through internet to damage the software of computers and cell phones. These spread from one device to another. Virus infected devices do not work properly. Computer virus spreads from one device to another in just the way disease causing viruses spread from one person to another and thus these are also called viruses.
