In the next generation, there were iron boxes. The Kerala people in India used coconut scrub instead of coal. After that there were iron boxes which worked with gas and kerosene. These methods got popular during the Second World War and later the electric iron boxes came into use. The iron boxes can heat up to the required temperature and then stopped with the help of thermostat. This electric iron box is invented by Henry Cole who belongs to newyork in 1882. The iron boxes which control the temperature are not easily invented. After many experiments, the iron boxes with thermostats were invented in 1922. The iron boxes which work with steam are also available and this was invented by Thomas Ceyars. Even though there are many developed iron boxes, the iron box which works on coal are mostly seen every where.
